Beauty World is a 1960’s to 80’s retail hub that require refurbishment. The Beauty World Plaza, Beauty World Centre and Bukit Timah Shopping Centre all in need of refurbishment to catch up with the country development. URA announce in 2019 that along with the Rail Corridor project, Beauty World will undergo series of changes, in order to inject vibrancy to the area, street activities will be added to the area.
